Verbs used on the site

All of the verbs on this site are in regular use in all the major English speaking countries. I have deliberately left out any verbs that are very country specific. There's not much point in learning something that you can only use in one country (or region).

Some information and general comments about the site and who should use it

A fair number of the example sentences on the site are in a business context. I am considering a Phrasal and Prepositional verbs for business section, but it might be more practical just to create another site for that purpose. I'll let you know how that progresses.

I should point out (one of the verbs you'll find inside) that this site is only really suitable for upper intermediate and advanced students. Those who have little or no experience of phrasal verbs will find things rather difficult. Even those who already know a bit about them may struggle.

The site name refers only to phrasal verbs but, there is, of course, another group known as prepositional verbs. I do not propose to deal with the difference between the two, or the grammar of phrasal verbs in general, on this site. It consists of exercises only. I hope you find it useful.

The site will be updated on a regular basis
